Zehn

While volunteering at the Muslim Center of Greater Princeton during the Afghan Refugee Crisis, I noticed that the material needs of refugees in care (of MCGP) were being met, but their mental health was largely neglected. So I created Zehn, a Muslim Mental Health service to help alleviate mental health challenges.

Research

I spent months researching the current Muslim Mental Health landscape in the US, what challenges Refugees are facing, and what communities can do to ease their hardships. Taking my insights, I decided to create a culturally-relevant cognitive behavioral therapy app.

Development

Using Dart and Flutter, I created an Apple App Store app with personalized guidance, meditations, Quranic Verses, and external resources. The app is meant to be break the stigma surrounding mental health, and act as a launching pad for their mental health journeys.

Partnerships

Aligned with the mission of various national and international organizations, Zehn now works with six partner organizations to keep improving, expanding, and bringing mental health resources to more people worldwide.

Impact

Since launch, Zehn has worked with its partners, impacting over 2000 people and helping them embark on their mental health journeys.
