Mock Trial
The PDS Mock Trial team became New Jersey State Champions in 2023. As an attorney on the team, I led the prosecution team in securing a 14-0 record, placing 1/209 teams statewide, and attending nationals for the first time in PDS history. At nationals, we placed among the top 20 teams out of 47. Through this, I’ve been able to explore the avenues of law, social justice, and public speaking. This year, I am the captain of the team.
Muslim Center of Greater Princeton
I’ve been a student at the MCGP Weekend Learning School since I was 8, and became a teacher after graduating three years ago. I’ve taught grades 3, 5, 7, and 9, giving me a variety of perspectives and experiences on how young Muslims can be taught more about their religion. I’ve also volunteered at MCGP during fundraisers and donation drivers, largely during the Syrian and Afghan refugee crises.
Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award
After volunteering nearly 380 hours at several community organizations over the course of a year, I was awarded the Gold-level Presidential Volunteer Service Award in recognition.

Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Affinity Group and Muslim Student Association (MSA)
At school, I lead the APIDA Affinity Group as well as the MSA. Through both of these spaces, I engage with members of my community in conversation about issues pertaining to identity and current issues. As part of the both groups, I organize schoolwide celebrations and highlight various holidays and traditions.
